Hurricane Sandy has made landfall along the central N.J. Coast bringing with it sustained tropical storm-force winds. The storm is expected to produce historic surge levels along the coast and heavy snow inland. In anticipation, we have been taking the necessary measures to prepare for the storm to minimize service outages for our customers. Broadband.com’s priority is to maintain our customers’ communications services while at the same time ensuring employee safety. To the extent that we can, we have taken the necessary steps to prepare for the storm.
Our efforts include the following:
- Made provisions to increase network operations(NOC) staff to provide resources to manage potential increased activity during the storm and it’s aftermath.
- Placed all operations team members on high alert, and made them ready to assist our customers and the appropriate carriers in resolving outages.
- Coordinated our communications with each of the carriers to ensure that we have the best information available.
Customers that are directly affected by this storm, and the areas in which resources are allocated to assist in storm efforts, could see extended outage times, and information available advising when services will be restored.
While we hope there are no impacts to service, we will continue to monitor the storm activity. If you experience any service impacts, please report them to our customer care team at 800-409-4357.
